Welcome to my blog! I am Meridith, and I’m a college senior pursuing degrees in Art History and Spanish. I grew up all over the place (Oklahoma-Louisiana-Illinois-Texas-France-Romania), but I currently live in the beautiful kudzu-covered state of Alabama.

I first became a vegetarian while living in a communist block building in Bucharest, Romania with my family for six months in 2006. While I was interested in a plant-based diet primarily for health reasons then, I’ve come to really love vegetarianism and believe that it has the potential to be better for both my own body and the world around me. I am passionate about nourishing, clean food, and feel most at peace when my hands are busy in the kitchen.

When not in the kitchen, you can find me lacing up my tennis shoes, perfecting my downward dog, reading, journaling, or spending time with my lovely family and my handsome boyfriend. One day, I hope to earn my PhD in Art History and then move somewhere with plenty of sunshine where I can have my own garden and continue to see as many works by Monet, Chihuly, and Mucha as possible.
